Mohammad Farahzadi

(Member, IEEE)

was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1992. He received his M.S. degree in Power Electronics and Electric Machines in 2021. He is currently an Electrical Machine Designer at the Niroo Research Institute, Tehran, Iran, and a Researcher at the Laboratory of K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
Mohammad is recognized internationally for his contributions to the thermal analysis of electrical machines, employing 3-D finite element methods (FEM), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and 3-D lumped parameter thermal networks (LPTN). He has published in high-impact journals, including IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, IEEE Access, and the Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering.
His research focuses on mechanical and electromagnetic analyses using 2-D and 3-D FEM, assessment of permanent magnet demagnetization, thermal modeling via FEM, LPTN, and CFD, and the design, optimization, and prototyping of electric machines. His expertise particularly covers flux-switching permanent magnet, permanent magnet-assisted synchronous reluctance, radial flux permanent magnet, axial flux permanent magnet, and doubly salient permanent magnet machines. Since 2026, he has also been serving as Chief Executive Officer of Farahzadi EcoMotion Systems (FES) Company.
