Laurea (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II in 1993 and 1998, respectively. In 1998, he joined the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, Italy, where he currently holds the position of Full Professor, specializing in power electronic converters, electrical machines, and drives. He is also the founder and CEO of the spin-off company LEDA Srl.
Professor Marignetti has authored or coauthored more than 300 publications in his research area and is the holder of three patents. His research focuses on the design, analysis, and digital control of electrical machines, renewable energy systems, and power converters. Since 2015, he has been recognized as a Fellow of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN). He has received five paper awards in acknowledgment of his contributions and currently serves as Chair of the Industrial Electronics Chapter of the IEEE Italy Section. Furthermore, since 2026, he has been collaborating as an advisor to Farahzadi EcoMotion Systems (FES) Company.
